Manual or Electric Toothbrush
Like many of you, since childhood I have used a manual toothbrush. I saw my family use manual toothbrushes so you go with what you know. Manual toothbrushes alone come in many shapes and sizes. So when you decide on which toothbrush you are comfortable with, they introduce electric ones.
Now you have the dilemma of which electric toothbrush to use for there are many of them available. But the biggest problem you will face is whether to stick with your trusted manual, which has worked for you for years or switch.
I watched a programme called "10 years younger" presented by Myleene Klass, which I found very informative to say the least. On this programme, they devised a demonstration. The lady dentist went into a shopping centre and asked 5 passers by if they had brushed their teeth that morning. Of course they all replied yes, I mean would you say no on national TV.
what is the preferred kind of toothpaste to use with an electric tooth brush?
I have used electric tooth brushes for years now and recently got a new one. one of the manuals for one of my old brushes said to use a specific kind of toothpaste. it was ether gel or past I cant remember. my new manual does not say any thing about this. what is the preferred kind of toothpaste to use with an electric tooth brush
You can use any toothpaste with an electric toothbrush…there is no special kind needed. Some of the whitening toothpastes may be more effective with electric toothbrushes because of the spinning heads.

I recently got braces on and decided to get an electric tooth brush for a deeper clean!
I was thinkin between an Professional Care 8500 or an Oral-B Sonic Complete! Which one should I go for?
I heard Sonic Complete have a really bad battery, how bad is it and is the Professional Care 8500 the same? And which is better, Sonic brushing or Rotating brushes?

It doesn’t really matter which brush you have, because I have braces, and I just use a typical electric toothbrush. Don’t spend all your money on that, spend it on accessories for your braces, things that will help you, — such as special braces floss and mirrors that can help you.
Don’t give it too much thought. The battery life doesn’t matter because you can always recharge it, unless you take it on the go?
Is it safe to use a dual headed electric tooth brush on braces?
I’m wondering is it okay to use an electric tooth brush with two heads on braces? With the rounded one and then the other side to side one? I don’t want to damage anything, but I find that with a typical rounded electric brush I’m unable to get the teeth completely clean.
Yes, it’s actually better than using a manual toothbrush. It won’t damage your braces, but it might wear down the head on your toothbrush, so you may want to buy new toothbrush heads for it, or replace your toothbrush every few months. I’ve learned that electric toothbrushes can wear down quicker than if you don’t have braces, but it’s worth it. My mouth feels alot cleaner. If in doubt, though, try asking your orthodontist what’s best! =] Good luck.

Why are electric tooth brushes the best tooth brushes to use?
Unlike regular tooth brushes, the head worn out easily. Electric tooth brushes is better because it brushes for you and it does not worn out easily. I used regular tooth brush for a long time and it worn out it does not make my teeth clean also ( which I brush very well).
The electric tooth brush maybe a little pricey, but is worth it.
