Electric Toothbrushes
Do you feel your toothbrush is not good anymore, then it is time to try the new electric toothbrush. You will not only have a refreshing experience with it, but also it will clean your teeth the way you want it to be. So the new recipe for sparkling white teeth is the new electric toothbrush. An electric toothbrush, which is often referred to as 'rotary' toothbrush, is a device that uses electric power to move the brush head. The movement of the brush head is in an oscillating pattern that helps clean genteelly between the teeth and in the far corners of your mouth. It is a great experience to use the electric toothbrush. They come as a great help for those who have some kind of difficulty in handling the regular toothbrush and often elderly people, or those with some kind of wrist injuries, can benefit greatly from the comfort and less effort involved in using an electric toothbrush.
Electric toothbrushes typically have small motors that move the head of the toothbrush independent of the toothbrush handle. What you need to do is to move the toothbrush around the inside of the mouth, but you do not have to make the usual brushing motions that clean the teeth. Electric toothbrushes are getting very popular among all the age groups. That is why many manufacturers have come up with different types of electric toothbrushes that suit different users. As such there is no classification of the toothbrushes, as they use a similar technology, but they can be very well classified based on their bristle types. They can be generally classified as

Turning off my Colgate 360 microSonic Power toothbrush?

What kind of electric toothbrush would you recommend?
I have heard oral b and sonicare are the major hitters but i have found that ultreo seems to be making its way into the appearance (founders were the former developers of sonicare) and am curious as to what you guys have to say based on either personal review or suggestion, thanks again
Sonicare beats out all other power brushes. They’ve even got a 28 day guarantee that you’ll have a whiter brighter smile because of it’s stain removing capabilities. Also there have been studies done with proof that the brush removes plaque beyond the reach of the bristles with the fluid motion the vibration, toothpaste and water in your mouth . Whichever you get, READ THE DIRECTIONS included. I know it seems dumb, and “we all know how to brush” but truth is we all don’t know how to brush properly. To get the best job from a power tooth brush you should know how to use it properly.
Additionally the sonicare alerts you if you’re brushing too hard.
How do you brush your teeth if you have braces?
I just got my braces put on yesterday and my orthodontist gave me a laminated sheet with pictures but I’ve read that you basically brush normally only more gently. I’m most worried about the little colored elastics on each bracket and I’m scared to brush on them. I don’t want them to snap which means another trip back to the ortho…
And also, is it okay to use an electric toothbrush? I have a Sonicare which is a good brand but I’m reading mixed reviews on using electric toothbrushes while wearing braces.
Any other tips are welcome!
For now, you should brush very softly since you just got them on. For about a week or so, your teeth’ll probably throb and hurt a bit so don’t floss yet. Just brush very well on the upper gums. When you brush, don’t worry about the elastics. Good Orthodontics should have secure elastics. When you brush your teeth, set the tooth brush above the brackets and brush the gums real well. That way, they will be clean and your teeth will look whiter than they really are. c:
Electric toothbrushes are fine, but I’d probably use a normal toothbrush for just a while.
When you teeth stop throbbing, or hurting, start flossing real well. Half the people I know didn’t floss well. I didn’t either. I barely flossed at all, and I ended up having to get root canal in between two of my molars because I didn’t floss in between well. It’s a pain, but you must treat your teeth well, especially when you have braces. You really don’t need to brush at lunch. Just in the morning, and at night. Goggling with Listerine is really good for your teeth, right before you go to bed if you don’t wanna floss.
(If your teeth start hurting, just take some tylenol, or what ever drug your body reactes best to. My braces hurt like heck the first time I got them put on, but it only lasts for usual a day or two)
Good luck with your braces!
What are the top electric toothbrushes that give optimal precision cleaning?
Im going to be buying an electric toothbrush soon and i would like to know what is the best for under £100. I have looked around and there are different outcomes of reviews for a wide range of different electric toothbrushes.
I just don’t really want to spend £70 on one that a £40 toothbrush can do better. Any professional guidance? Thanks
Best electric toothbrush?
I’m looking to buy a new electric toothbrush and I’m not sure which one to get. I don’t really care too much about the cost, as long as it’s the best toothbrush now and for a while. Right now I’m thinking mainly between the Philips Sonicare FlexCare Plus and the Oral-B Professional Care Smart Series 5000.
I’ve used a cybersonic toothbrush for the past 7 years and it’s okay but nothing special. I’ve wanted to replace it for a while now, but haven’t had the money until now. I don’t have sensitive teeth or gums and I have good overall dental health.
Has anybody tried both of those toothbrushes or can anybody find any reviews of both by a reputable source? Otherwise does anybody know of any other toothbrushes that are better?
Thanks!
I’d go with Sonicare because many dentists recommend it. In fact, my friend’s father (who’s a dentist) gives one to every single patient for free because he genuinely does think it helps with oral hygiene. It’s definitely the most expensive electric toothbrush I’ve ever had but I love it. You can literally FEEL that your teeth are cleaner.
I don’t have any experience with the Oral-B one so I can’t comment.
